Hello from Emerys

Hello from the Emerys. Here is a recent picture of us at the beach. We got to go camp at Camp Pendleton with the Chalon and her family. The second pic is of mine and Chalon's kids.
This coming weekend Wade will be visiting and all the sibs will get together. It will be fun!!! I know my mom and dad are jealous. When I get a chance I will try to pass on some of their Alaska photos. I should probably just tell her to upload on the blog.

Other than the normal fun summer things, we are doing good. We are still wrapped up in some issues with the adoption, but are trying to move on while making sure the kids get what they need.

Love to everyone!!! The Emerys

Cousins' Reunion June 2008

On June 21st there was a fun get together with Mom, Lorraine, Lenard and Mike, and some of us cousins. We met at Pat's neighborhood clubhouse which was nicely air conditioned on a very hot day. Sandy, Sue and Mike were in town, so they went with Ellen and Mom to represent the Moore side.

We spent some time getting to know Dianna's new husband Ben and looking at wedding photos. We took a tour of Pat's townhouse and met her furry friends.

Each of us gave a recap of our recent life, and we decided to make the 3rd Saturday in June every year the date for an annual Cousins' Reunion. Mark your calendars.

Look at Me!!

This is the first time I have EVER posted on a blog..I feel cool! I love you Ellen and hope everyone will keep in touch often and share lots of pictures! Which reminds me that I haven't emptied my camera since being in Ogden and need to send Ellen her pictures from the temple! Sorry sis, I'll do it, now. Big news from the Day house..Michael and I are headed to Melbourne, Australia Tuesday with my friend Sheila and her husband Lewis. All her sibs still live there and have planned some great adventures for us. We will go from the ocean to the mountains and lots in between, spending our last two days in Sidney, attending the Temple and seeing the city. We will be back on the 26th. We lose a day going and gain one coming home which is crazy huh..we'll need it to recover I'm sure! I have LOVED reading Sue's daily e-mails with pix but won't be able to share our travels until returning home. Other fun news to share is that Dallin has been on swim team and is a great competitor, winning ribbons at every meet. He just turned 11 July 8th and chose to celebrate taking friends camping at a wonderful campground called Oak Grove, which is up the sounthern side of Pine Mountain accessed through the town of Silver Reef. I didn't know about it last year for the reunion-apparently it was once the church's girls camp and still really a nice place to Tent Camp (no cabins) with nice biffys and tapped water. It was cool compared to our 110 temp at home and only one other camper was there so the boys (5 of them) had toooo much fun. Carrie and I slept in the back of Michael's truck and enjoyed the stars. Now Dallin gets to go on his first 11 year old scout overnight this Friday-Saturday, the tail end of the whole week long camp for the boy scouts in the stake with a fireside and testimony meeting Friday night with the Stake President. Love to you all!! Sandy

Hi Nemos

I think this is great that we are finally getting a blog for the Nemos. They are easy to use and fun too! I love to read blogs and am a little addicted so one more will be great. Life is good on the Brown front. Ali and Ashling are in swimming lessons, Cameron has a new position at work that is a lot more fun for him (a lot more meetings too....) and I am pregnant with #3. You might ask why that is all I am up to and for some reason that is all I am capable of doing at once... incubating a baby. Besides that we are taking care of Mike and Sue's house while they are in Alaska for the summer and watching their dogs. Fun stuff....

We went on a family vacation to Mammoth, California and stayed in a condo over the 4th of July weekend. It was a lot of fun. While there we met a big family that always come to Mammoth for their family reunion and stays in this condo. They seemed to have a lot of fun. We certainly loved our visit and we think we should have the Nemo reunion there next year. There is shopping, outdoors stuff, plenty of places for reunion day, fishing, swimming, boating, art galleries and tons of great specialty restaurants. It is about three hours from the Reno airport so that could cause a little problem but I think it could be workable. The condos we were at had a huge area for guests to use and it would be big enough for reunion day and I don't think we would have to pay to use it.

Our family has our own blog at verticalhorizontality.blogspot.com

Hope you guys have a good day!
Melissa
